Autumn Activities Offered to Seniors at New Horizons   

Autumn in Massachusetts is a special time of year. Whether you are a fan of Halloween or simply enjoy the foliage and hot apple cider, there are several things to look forward to during fall. Here at New Horizons at Marlborough, we embrace the fall season and curate events to help get everyone in the spirit. Keep reading to see some of the activities we have coming up this month.

Foliage Trip

This upcoming Tuesday (10/22), New Horizons at Marlborough is offering its residents a 1:00 PM foliage ride throughout the area. Massachusetts is just coming into full foliage, and we have a scenic ride to show off all that fall in Massachusetts has to offer. The foliage ride wouldn’t be complete without a stop at Dunkin’ Donuts for those attending as well.  Pick up a cider, hot cocoa, or coffee to enjoy during the ride.

Oktoberfest Beer Party

Residents who love a cold beer will surely be in attendance on Tuesday, October 28. Celebrating the last week of Oktoberfest, residents will be able to enjoy a refreshing brew while socializing with friends new and old in O’Connor Town Common. Be sure to clink steins and proclaim, “Prost!”

Pumpkin Painting It has felt like fall since the leaves began changing outside and our décor began changing inside. To add to the festive fall feel within our community, New Horizons at Marlborough will also be hosting a Pumpkin Painting Event on October 28 at 2:30 PM. Outfit your doorway or kitchen with a painted pumpkin to get in the fall spirit.

Halloween at New Horizons at Marlborough

We have two events to celebrate Halloween at New Horizons at Marlborough. The day before Halloween (Oct. 30), toddlers will be at O’Connor Town Common trick-or-treating. Join us to pass out candy and see all the adorable costumes!  

On October 31, New Horizons at Marlborough will be having a Halloween Party and Costume Contest. Residents will mingle with friends and neighbors, with the winner the Costume Contest receiving a special prize. After the party and starting at 6:30 PM, the Thursday movie night will be Halloween-themed as well.
